Bamba, who is Cardiffs joint-top scorer with four goals, will undergo surgery to repair his anterior cruciate ligament.Cardiff boss Neil Warnock said: Unfortunately our biggest fears have been confirmed regarding the injury Sol suffered at Wolves on Saturday.Scans have shown that Sol has ruptured his ACL. He will have an operation on Wednesday and therefore miss the rest of the season. It is a major blow to the squad but I know all of our supporters will join me in wishing him the very best during his recovery.Bamba has started 28 of Cardiffs 29 Premier League games this season. His absence will be felt with the club two points from safety with nine games to go.The Ivory Coast international joined Cardiff on a free transfer in October 2016 and played in every Championship game as Warnocks side won promotion to the Premier League last term.
